Our Mission

The Military Order of the Purple Heart is a congressionally chartered veterans service organization composed exclusively of combat wounded veterans. We are dedicated to:

  • Fostering an environment of goodwill and camaraderie among all veterans
  • Promoting veteran welfare through legislative advocacy
  • Assisting veterans and their families in need
  • Preserving and promoting patriotism
  • Honoring the memory of those who gave their lives for our freedom

How We Serve

Supporting veterans and their families in Northwest Washington

Veteran Assistance

Providing support and resources to veterans and their families in times of need, including emergency financial assistance and guidance.

Legislative Advocacy

Fighting for veterans' rights and benefits through active participation in the legislative process at local, state, and federal levels.

Patriotic Programs

Promoting patriotism through community events, educational programs, and memorial ceremonies honoring our fallen heroes.

Fellowship

Creating a supportive community where combat wounded veterans can connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.

Membership in the Military Order of the Purple Heart is open to all recipients of the Purple Heart medal, their descendants, and spouses.

Regular Members: Recipients of the Purple Heart medal

Associate Members: Spouses, parents, children, and descendants of Purple Heart recipients
